Hard Decisions

I made an appointment to have my sweet kitty cat put down. It is scheduled for Friday at 4:30. Is it wrong to wish that she will die in her sleep between now and then? My son said his goodbyes tonight. I was doubly sad to see how upset he was.

I know that she will go on with the knowledge that she was loved more than any cat could every be loved.

So tell me... why is it that I've known she is going to die and it is so very hard now that the end is near?
